Baked turkey meatballs, made with a variety of dried herbs and spices, are quick and easy to prepare, go well alongside so many different side dishes, and can be paired with whatever sauce you like. This recipe features my sweet & spicy homemade BBQ sauce. Makes 12 meatballs Ingredients: 1 lb. lean ground turkey 10 dashes of Worcestershire sauce ½ tsp. dried oregano ½ tsp. cumin ¼ tsp. dried basil ¼ tsp. dried thyme ¼ tsp. paprika ¼ tsp. onion powder ¼ tsp. garlic powder ¼ tsp. black pepper Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe - Click here Directions: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees; line a baking pan with foil and coat with nonstick cooking spray. In a large bowl, add all ingredients to the ground turkey, and gently mix using a fork or your hands. Over-mixing can cause the meatballs to become dry, so just mix lightly until the seasonings are distributed evenly throughout the turkey. Form the turkey into 12 meatballs. *Here’s a trick for quickly making meatballs equal in size: Place the ground turkey mixture onto a large piece of plastic wrap; roll the turkey out into the shape of a log, folding one side of the plastic wrap over the meat and twisting both ends to secure it. Take a knife and divide the meat into 6 equal portions, starting with a cut down the middle, and then 2 cuts on both sides spaced equal lengths apart. Unwrap the turkey, and divide each piece in half. That will leave you with 12 uniform meatballs. Place the meatballs onto the baking pan, and bake for 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
Serve with BBQ sauce!
