This is the quickest, easiest, most delicious recipe for baked beans. My 10-minute stovetop version gets you the same sweet, spicy, and smoky flavor of slow-cooked baked beans in just a fraction of the time. Ingredients: 2 15-oz. cans of cannellini beans, drained and rinsed 2 garlic cloves, minced (or substitute with ¼ tsp. garlic powder) 1/2 onion, diced 1/3 cup ketchup 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard 2 Tbsp. soy sauce 2 Tbsp. lemon juice 1-2 Tbsp. of Splenda brown sugar (or substitute regular brown sugar) 1 tsp. of Worcestershire sauce 3-4 dashes of liquid smoke 1 tsp. chili powder A few dashes of black pepper Directions: Lightly coat a pot with cooking spray; sauté the garlic and onion for a few minutes, until they have softened. Add the beans to the pot, along with the remaining ingredients. Turn the heat onto medium-high, stir everything together, and as soon as the mixture starts to bubble, turn the heat down to low, and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Enjoy!
