The assembly is no-fuss: Just fold in half, and bake in the oven until crispy. Serve these with your favorite toppings, such as salsa, guacamole, or low-fat sour cream.
This recipe makes about 2 tablespoons of Taco Seasoning, which is perfect for replacing one 1.25-oz. packet of store-bought seasoning. I use this recipe to season 1 lb. of meat.
Ingredients: 2 teaspoons ground cumin 1½ teaspoons chili powder ½ teaspoon paprika ½ teaspoon dried oregano ¼ teaspoon garlic powder ¼ teaspoon onion powder ¼ teaspoon black pepper 1/8 to ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 tablespoon cornstarch ½ cup water Directions: In a small bowl, mix all of the spices and the cornstarch together. Add the taco seasoning, along with ½ cup of water to 1 lb. of cooked ground meat; bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, then turn the heat down to low and simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
