I’ve had such a great time this year sharing my recipes with you, and I’m looking forward to getting even more creative with them in 2016! Here’s a quick look back at the Top 5 Most-Popular Recipes of 2015, and also my personal Top 5 Favorite Recipes from the year. Top 5 Most-Popular Recipes of 2015: #5. Cheeseburger Burritos. This food hybrid combines two popular favorites - burgers and burritos. SO good. #4. Crispy Garlic Parmesan Smashed Potatoes. These potatoes are tender on the inside and crispy on the outside- in under 20 minutes. #3. Spicy Corn Chowder. It's a chowder makeover - a spicy, creamy corn chowder that's satisfying, filling, and fat-free. #2. Buffalo Chicken Salad. This entrée salad transforms the classic Buffalo Chicken appetizer into a light and healthy meal full of crispy greens, veggies, saucy chicken strips, corn, and beans. And the #1 recipe of 2015 is… #1. Taco Pops. Flaky crescent dough stuffed with taco meat and cheese, dunked in salsa, sour cream, or guacamole...it's no surprise that these Taco Pops landed the #1 spot this year. My Personal Top 5 Favorites: #5. Greek Turkey Burger Salad. This salad was so flavorful and refreshing, and it's a really good combo of healthy lean protein and vegetables. I love adding Feta cheese to salad for some tanginess. #4. Cheeseburger Burritos. This was probably the best burrito I ate all year. The ground meat really had that cheeseburger taste, and grilling the outside of the tortilla was the perfect way to finish off the dish. #3. Green Bean Casserole with Homemade French Fried Onions. Green beans are one of my favorite veggies, and topping them with crispy, crunchy homemade French fried onions is really tasty. It’s a classic side dish that always works with any dinner, especially at a holiday gathering. #2. Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. Because I love bananas. And oats. And chocolate. And cookies. #1. Wild Rice Salad with Roasted Sweet Potatoes. I made this dish for the first time this year, and immediately fell in love with it. The combination of wild rice, sweet potatoes, and sautéed vegetables just tastes amazing together. It was pretty much a staple in my house all summer long, and will continue to be a go-to side dish for weeknight dinners and summer barbecues.
